How many hours of study are recommended to prepare for the Certification?
We recommend about 100-150 hours of self-study for each of the levels.
How much does registration of the certification cost, and what does it include?
Each of the levels has a cost of 785EUR, and it includes access to the exam and the official readings in an online format.
Which are the requirements to register for the CAIIB Certification?
There is no particular requirement; however, candidates with basic training or professional experience in finance, engineering, or science will benefit from this background to understand some formal aspects of the Certification. In particular, elementary concepts of Calculation, Algebra, Optimization, and Probability and Statistics are used. Certification also introduces some basic programming concepts (in Python language) that enable the practical development of financial examples.
What are the steps to register?
Simply fill out the application form on the form and follow the steps until you complete the registration. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email.
When will I have access to online materials?
Once you have completed the registration and registration for the exam, you will receive an email in the next 72 hours with your credentials to access our platform with the contents. This platform only allows access to such content online so they cannot be downloaded or printed.
Can I get a printed copy of the materials?
Yes, you can receive the corresponding books at an additional cost of EUR 150, including transportation. To do this, simply indicate in the available form that you choose that option and make the corresponding payment. The maximum delivery time is 15 days.
Is there support for solving questions?
No, the materials are designed for self-study. At the present moment, CFA Society Spain has not designated any Certified Educational Provider.
Can I enroll simultaneously from the two CAIIB levels??
No, to register for the second level, you must have previously passed the first level.
Where will the test be taken?
The exam will take place in Madrid. Due to current health circumstances, if necessary, the examination will be carried out remotely.
What is the cut-off to pass the exam?
The Advising Committee will determine the minimum grade for passing the exams. We can anticipate that around 70% of correct answers will be required.
How and when will I be informed of the results?
They will be accessible, privately, in the month following the exam and through the platform.
